Myofascial Release Therapy
for Anxiety, Depression, and Fatigue

Occipital ReleaseI've had success helping people with lack of energy and mild depression using Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR). In late winter/ early spring, many of us suffer with seasonal symptoms of mild depression. My patients have reported marked improvement in their symptoms after getting treatment.

How Does MFR Improve Emotional Balance?
There are several aspects of MFR which may improve mental health. Touch by a centered therapist my help balance the nervous system. Reducing restrictions on the dura covering the brain may allow better circulation and perfusion. Or, simply time laying calmly in a safe place without any stress may help improve psychological well being.

Unwinding
MFR allows patients freedom of movement called "unwinding". This freeform movement can release old memories or old, trapped emotions. Exploring unwinding can be a powerful tool to release old emotions, fears, and holding patterns. All patients are encouraged to allow their bodies to move as they are able to let go.

MFR Seems to Help
Emotional well being results from a wide variety of factors. For severe or chronic symptoms, I recommend a mental health professional, a healthy diet, and adequate exercise. MFR is an powerful complementary therapy.
